I like Julian. It does have a slightly more feminine vibe to it than some names, however. To me, it has an artistic, intellectual feel. On the flip side, it does have an almost effete feel, though.
I do associate it with Julian Lennon.
Julian and Peter are quite different names, IMO. But that is not necessarily a bad thing.
