Odd name out: terrible circumstances
Dreadful story on the news: a missing man is suspected of having smothered his three daughters. Quite appalling. Since they are no longer alive, their names can be published: they are Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia, according to the BBC. Evelyn and Olivia are beautiful classics, but Paityn? Paton would be just another lnfn, and I suppose that might have been too, I dunno, ordinary?

I just saw this story. (I didn't see it through BBC, but through Inside Edition) absolutely horrific. 😓 I agree, Paityn does stick out. It's rather modern whereas Evelyn & Olivia are classics. I dislike Paityn in any spelling variant, although it's usually spelled Peyton & Payton.
Sorry but I think it is really inappropriate to be commenting on the names of murdered children.
Thank you for saying something. Agree.
Yeah, no. Sorry, but this is incredibly insensitive.
I saw this story too, it is very sad. I remembered thinking that Paityn stood out a bit too, but Rox is right, all 3 names are trendy in the US. Paityn is usually spelled Peyton or Payton; the Paityn spelling I have seen a couple times before. I guess the spelling was altered to make it more "feminine" maybe?
It's a very sad story. Such a waste of three little lives.Peyton would have fit in better.
The trio is totally unremarkable in the US, because all three names are super popular and have been for a couple decades. They're just different styles, is all. I would even say that Olivia and Evelyn are a bit too matchy-matchy for sisters, and that Peyton breaks it up a bit, in a way that Avery or even Amelia wouldn't do.
I don't like Paityn, but I could overlook it were it paired with something that shared its likeness. At least 2/3 are good.
