Taylor has grown into a smiling toddler with curly red hair. Already she likes to go with Edmund on his photo expeditions. She wanders off quickly if he's not keeping an eye on her! Her biological mother, Gabby, is very sweet. She tries to visit at least once a month.
Justin's birth mom, Jennifer, comes with Gabby to visit. We are all proud of him because he is about to start preschool. He is shy with strangers, although he warms to them quickly. He likes to "read" books to me when it's his bedtime.
Jackson is still wary of strangers, but he is doing better thanks to his counseling sessions. He does well in school and likes to run and be outside. We let him get a dog, which he named Shadow. Renwick, our cat, and Shadow follow Jack all around the house and yard.
Recently, we enrolled Kayla in a Triple Threat class. She loves it! She already talks about being in high school plays. She has also developed a special bond with Jack. She shows him what she learned in Triple Threat, and he'll show her a new trick he taught Shadow.
As a family, we took the kids to a couple state parks and camped in a rented RV. We are saving our bigger traveling plans until Justin and Taylor are older. I also recently found out I was expecting. Edmund, Kayla, Jack, Justin, and Taylor can't wait to have a new addition to our family!
