Type of Family: Unwed but together couple

Neither Peter nor Candace expected to have a baby so soon but both were pleased, once they got over the shock. They decided on their son's name by Peter going through Candace's rather extensive name list and picking names he saw as 'strong'. Candace added Phinehas to the mix because she wanted an old name with a spelling that wasn't common.
Candace has taken to calling their son Freddie, much to Peter's dismay. Because, according to her, 'Ricky' is an awful nickname as is 'Rick' and 'Fred'. And Frederick would be too long to say when he was older. The nickname seems to have stuck with the rest of the family too, and both sets of parents are enamored with their first grandchild.
Candace's sister and twin brothers spoil their nephew rotten, always trying to convince Candace and Peter to let them take him for the day, while Peter's brother is pretty much indifferent.
