A lot of people are talking about how it sounds like abandon. One of my favorite characters from Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson has a name similar to abandon. So I don't know, just read Mistborn. Names that sound like abandon aren't that bad.

Sorry, but this name is depressing! It sounds like “abandon” and the meaning is also not so good. But I’ve seen worse names on this website. It’s okay, but if you name a kid something that sounds like “abandon” AND it means ruin and destruction, it means you probably want to abandon him and destroy him (no puns intended). Personally, I wouldn't use this name. It sounds a little too much like the word "abandon". Abandoning your child doesn't seem too nice, does it?
