Aglaé Auguié, who married Michel Ney, Marshal of France during the First French Empire.
Princess Aglaë Margarete Tatiana Mary of Baden (b. Heidelberg, 3 March 1981). Daughter of Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark and Berthold, Margrave of Baden. She is, through her mother, the niece of Prince Philip, consort of the current British monarch Queen Elizabeth II, as well as being in line to the British throne as a great-great-grand-daughter of Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, a grand-daughter of Queen Victoria.
Makes me think of 'algue' which is seaweed in French.
Aglaé Louise Françoise Gabrielle de Polignac (7 May 1768 – 30 March 1803) was the daughter of Gabrielle de Polastron, the favourite of Marie Antoinette, and her husband, the 1st duc de Polignac.
The name Aglaé, pronounced ah-GLAY, is relatively uncommon in France. It was very rarely used in the early 20th century, became obsolete by the 30's, and was revived in the 90's. It is still very rare though, and has never been given to more than 100 baby girls per year.
