Too associated with the sigma/Alpha/beta male stereotypes. Please use Omega instead of this or Sigma.
I wouldn't recommend this, especially because of the Alpha male/beta male theories that are popular with sexist incels and MRAs.
I prefer Alfie.
Yikes no. Alpha beta situation is too wack.
Reminds me of the stupid Alpha/beta male stereotype. Alfie is kind of cute, but this is more of a letter to me than anything.
I’m not sure many people care about the Greek alphabet, most people would associate this to Alpha wolves because of that stupid kid's game ‘Gacha life’ where kids create movies about werewolves and alphas. Anyway, it isn’t a name I’d use because I learnt the Greek alphabet when I was 8 and now I associate it to the alphabet.
I think this should be a variant to Alphie or Alfie.
To me it sounds much more like a masculine name than feminine but I guess both could work.
The only likely reason I can think of as to why a parent would bestow this name upon a child is because they want the kid to assert their dominance over everybody else. Personally I can only imagine this being used as a furry (sigh) name or by a furry who’s having a child. The kid is going to get bullied anyhow. Please. Go with a different name. This one is just not good.
This is the equivalent to naming your kid after a letter.
I think this is a wicked cool unique name. I would definitely use it for a girl, and I think it's a strong name for a leader. It isn't my first choice to name my future kids, but I'm definitely going to keep it in mind! I really like this name.
To a Greek speaker this looks like you named your kid A. Never go to Greece with this name.
Please don't name your child after a letter!
It makes me think of the Alpha wolf of the wolf pack's societal structure. I wouldn't use this name for my kid. I doubt I'd even use it for a character in a story, in fact.
Very pompous. It's like saying your son is the alpha male or that your daughter is the alpha female. The name sounds feminine to me because of the 'a' at the end. This simply sounds weird as a name.
