Personally I like the Uh-mar-rah pronunciation Uh-mare-rah sounds really weird.

I don't like the uh mar uh pronunciation. I prefer to pronounce it uh mare uh. I'll give you my reasoning. Mary is not pronounced mar e. Maria is not pronounced mar e uh. Sara is not pronounced sar uh.

I've heard Amara pronounced uh-MAR-uh and AM-er-uh or AM-ruh.
