It’s nice but it sounds like an elaboration on Amy.
The IPA pronunciation is /ˈæm.ə.ɹi/.
This name can also be FEMININE in MODERN times, making it UNISEX.
In the USA, 45 girls were named AMERY in 2009.
This name should REALLY be marked as "Feminine & Masculine" due to the POPULAR FEMININE usage in the MODERN DAY world.

Pretty okay name.
I really like this name for a boy. But I like it spelt Amory, because I think it sounds more boyish like that.
This is a boy name! NOT A GIRL NAME! Emery is only a BOY NAME too... disgusting on a girl.
I really like Amery for a guy:)
People should be using names proper usages and not sticking names on there children because to them it "sounds" like it belongs to a certain gender.
Amory Blaine is the main male character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's book This Side of Paradise.
I know a girl named Amory. I've never heard of anyone else with that name, and I think it is very interesting. When I fist met her I didn't know if it was pronounced Aim-ory or Am-ory.
I've actually never heard of this name as a woman's title, to me it's always been a man's. When you track its meaning down to the roots it holds a slightly negative connotation, but all the same I love the way it sounds and the way it looks on paper.
This spelling will not with associated with emery boards (unless one points out such), and you can hear the spelling, unlike kre8ive names. Besides that, however, it's not a very great name.
Think twice before using this name! Sure, it's cute on a little girl, but seriously, can you imagine it on a forty year old? I dislike Emery to begin with but this is just ridiculous.
This name sounds quite feminine mowadays. It reminds me of that annoying singer Amerie, who had that gawd-awful squeaky way of singing.
My daughter's middle name is Amory, pronounced like Emory but with an A. Amory was not found in this data-base, but we found it in a baby name book. I have never known of anyone else named this, and I hope she won't hate us when she gets older!
This and Emery could make alternatives to the trendy Avery. Although, there's "emory board," but then, the only time I've ever used that term, no one around me knew what it meant.
I think this name could also be feminine, and be spelt Emeri, or Emery. And also, I think it could be short for Americus.
