Hey, this is also a very common name in Spanish Speaking countries. I've heard it a lot in Mexico, and I should know because I am Mexican, and my name is Amina.
I love it! Unique, but still easy for her and others to write and pronounce. I feel like Amina and Nadia would make great twin girl names for some reason, but Amina and Arya might be even better. Something about those two combinations is just magical. As to the amino acid thing, I kinda love that, too.
