My name is Aster and I am indeed male I don't know why it is a feminine name I think it should be unisex.
The name sounds more masculine or unisex. I've seen people and characters of both genders named Aster.
Aster is also frequently used as a masculine given name in English. Some known real-life male bearers of this name are Aster Berkhof (pen name of Lodewijk Paulina Van Den Bergh, a Belgian writer) and Jack Aster (pen name of Walter Russell Crampton, an Australian trade unionist, journalist, and politician). Some known fictional male bearers of this name are Aster Laker (a supporting character from the game Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World); Aster Phoenix (from the Japanese anime You-Gi-Oh! GX); and E. Aster Bunnymund (a re-imagining of the Easter Bunny in the 2012 animated film Rise of the Guardians). More Male bearers of the given name Aster can be found at the Wikipedia "Aster" page.
