Aster... a purplish-blue name imbued with the scent of a thousand wildflowers. With its roots in both the earth and the heavens, this name becomes a reflection of the border between worlds, pierced at twilight: the border between earthly dreams and celestial paradise. Aster, its petals adorned with the beams of the pearly stars. Each letter bears the weight of constellations, bridging the terrestrial and the ethereal, a harmonious fusion of nature's splendor and the far-off shimmer of stars. Thus, Aster, in its simplicity, is a muse for stargazers and nature-lovers alike. Like a flower reaching for the sky with its soft hands, Aster is a starry bloom, one that flies through the cosmos whilst remaining firmly rooted in the garden of words. Truly, a wonderful soul in the kingdom of dreams.
This is the middle name of the Easter Rabbit from Rise of the Guardians (2012). His name is E. Aster Bunnymund.

People are saying that Aster is like the flower (Which makes people think it is feminine) while I personally first thought of this name as the shortened version of asteroid.
Nice! It's less girly and frivolous than a lot of flower names, and also unlike most flower names it is unisex! Strong, natural, beautiful, I love Aster! (I'm a bit of a sucker for purple things)
This name is also masculineIt was given to over 20 boys in USA in 2021, and is about 17% masculinehttps://www.thenamegeek.com/first-name/aster
A long time ago I had mixed feelings about this name. The first syllable put me off. But I also thought that it was delicate and sweet, yet strong and firm. I really think it should be a unisex name. Its underrated and could sound good on anyone!
My name is Aster and I am indeed male I don't know why it is a feminine name I think it should be unisex.
The name sounds more masculine or unisex. I've seen people and characters of both genders named Aster.
This is an incredible name; I might actually add it to my name list.
I disagree with the other comments. To me this doesn’t sound the slightest masculine. It’s beautiful, and feminine. The flower is beautiful.
I like the name, sounds more masculine than feminine, however I can imagine it on anyone. Overall, an amazing name!

This is so much prettier than Esther.
It's a nice name. I prefer it over Astrid (I know they're not the same, but the sounds are very similar).
Woah, 90%... that's rare. I think this name deserves it honestly, it seems like a lot of the rare English names are really amazing and this one is no exception to that.
I might be the only one, but I think this name sounds feminine and sophisticated. I could easily imagine it on a woman, regardless of age. Aster is a really cool name!
