Meaning & History

Form of Azarel used in the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) and the 1769 revised edition of the King James Bible (1611).

In the Septuagint, Azarael is also once used in place of Oziel or Uzziel, namely in verse 25:4 of 1 Chronicles.
