I don't understand the people who criticize the spelling! Azzurra is not an invented spelling, it's the Italian spelling of this name.

I love this name, very unique and looks beautiful written down with the double z and double r. I was pondering over names for some time when I had my daughter 10 years ago, but as soon as I saw this I fell in love with it.

The pronunciation listed is wrong. There is not a "J sound" in Azzurra.

The pronunciation is adz-DZOOR-ra.

The 'dz' is a kind of 'z' not a kind of 'j'. [noted -ed]

I like this name very much as it is a quiet, serene colour but a particular sound.

I think there's nothing wrong with the spelling as the colour/adjectives are exact (azzurro, Azzurra, azzurri, azzurre, azzurrino, azzurrognolo...).

This name seems... over-spelled, for lack of better words. I think this name is best spelled Azura. Azzurra just seems too over-the-top. I'm not really fond of Azure, Azura, and Azzurra in general anyway.

I don't really mind this name, it's alright, but it's a bit futuristic, I think. :)

Really interesting and beautiful name. I prefer it spelled Azura instead of Azzurra though, not like it really matters.
