All I think of is Bonnie and Clyde.

Harry Potter star whom played Ginny Weasley in HP film series named Bonnie Wright. The name itself means PRETTY, don't think it sounds childish at all. I can imagine young girls and old ladies and a grandma named Bonnie which means this name ages perfectly like Charlotte and Catherine etc.

Bonnie is an ancient name. Reminds me of cranberry muffins. Also, I knew a guy named Bonnie and he made fun of animals.

I can’t believe people actually call their children Bonnie. It sounds like bunny. Bonnie is way too cutesy and babyish and will not suit an adult. Where my friend lives, Bonnie means fat. About age 7 or 8 is the cutoff for this name. I don’t think anyone would take a doctor named Bonnie seriously.

I live in Australia where Bonnie is pronounced with more of an "O" sound rather than like "BAHN-ee". I really dislike the way Americans say the name. Like it just sounds like Barney coming from an American. However, where I live, I love the sound of my name. It's a classic, super gorgeous. Honestly, if I wasn't named Bonnie I would probably name my future daughter Bonnie lol.

In my opinion Bonnie is one of the cutest names! I have a friend named Bonney and a relative named Bonnie, but it doesn’t matter how you spell it, it’s still adorable. It’s a name that you can age with too and also have cute nicknames like ‘Bon Bon’ or ‘Bon nae nae’ (the last one is my friend's nickname). This is just my personal opinion though. I don’t really think it works for a masculine (or just male) figure though.

I do not particularly like the sound of the name. It is weirdly pronounced. Bonnie. Just does not sound like the name of a woman. I love the name though because there was this really sweet girl when I was growing up- she was ten years or at least eight years older than I- she would be in her 50's now- and she was so nice so I loved her and began to love the name. It is very interesting that Bonnie means pretty in Gaelic as it also means pretty in Spanish- Bonita is pretty in Spanish. As I said phonetically I never liked the name but because of that sweet girl I loved her and her name.

The meaning of this name is shallow. It means pretty/sweet. Why not name your daughter Cutie? Bonnie could be a nice nickname, but please name you child something a bit more substantial.

Both my first and middle names are named after people from our family I love my name Bonnie because my dad gave it me it was one of his good friend's names and I love how it sounds when people hear my name they get excited because they haven't heard that name in a long time. It makes me happy to see people get excited about my name. I also had a friend named Bonnie in school, she was a good friend and when I hear my name being called I get excited because I love my name, my name is so cool because not every day you hear the name Bonnie.

This is my name, and I like the meaning of it (which is good and beautiful). But I also like it because of part of the reputation that seems to go with it-- some people smile when they hear my name, like it's sweet. And when I'm getting to know people no one expects me to be anything but kind and innocent.

The cons are that I think some people hear it and equate the sweetness of my name to being naive and not knowing things, as well as kind of being bubble headed. And no one seems to think I could understand dirty humor. As if my name or my overall vibe is that I've been sheltered. I've also heard the pickup line "Oh, so your Bonnie? I'm Clyde." More than once.

Bonnie is a terrible name! It's way too cutesy to be used on a real person, even a little girl. Besides, it doesn't even sound like a real name, more like a nickname an overprotective parent would give to their spoilt little princess.

I will always think highly of the name Bonnie because I know someone named Bonnie and she is sweet and hilarious and the name suits her well.

I had my second daughter a year ago and could not think of a name that suited her, it took about four weeks to decide on Bonny. All the names my husband and I liked, just did not suit her. She was born HAPPY, every time someone looked at her they said "what a bonny baby" and it kind of stuck! I have had so many people comment on her name and say it's lovely and suits her so much.

Bonny and Bonnie were unisex once. It's due for a big revival. If we have to endure Katie, Millie and Mollie in England, why not Bonny. It's not technically a nickname for anything.

Bonnie doesn't sound like an intelligent name, at all. It's too sweet, too fluffy, so much that it sounds like a food or a pet's name. I can see how this name may be okay at best many decades ago in older times, but modernly it just sounds ditzy.

I love this name, it's tremendously cute and sounds like the name of a sweet girl. However, I do wonder if it's a bit too cute for a grown-up. I actually don't think it would sound totally crazy on boys and men either, assuming you use it on a cool guy who has the right look and personality for it. But using it for a boy could really be risky.

This is my first name. My middle name is Victoria, so it's not exactly one I could use.
