I used to have no opinion on the name Bryson but now I like it. Because this name is modern, I can picture an athletic type of boy.
My name is Bryson, I hate my name, always have. Do your son a favor and just go with “Brian” or “Bryan”. Either spelling is about as popular as Bryson is now, and they’re easier for people to remember.
We named our daughter Brysen Marie 33 years ago. Today she’s the mother of two boys, working on her masters with the hopes of being a school counselor, principal or even superintendent some day. Her name has NEVER held her back. Throughout her school/formative years she was fiercely competitive. Her name turned heads many times. So don’t criticize the name Brysen for a boy or girl. It’s a STRONG name.
Actress NeNe Leakes used it for her son.
I love this name and I actually have it.
In Germany I've never heard this. I thank God for that, because this is a horrible name. Can you picture an 80 year old man named Bryson? I can't.

This name is horrible, I don't know how it's so popular...Please don't torture your son with this name. There are way better names for your little man, trust me.

I'm not trying to be rude, this is my honest opinion.
“Bryson” - A sophisticated adventurer! Witty and popular with his peers.
Sounds more like a surname to me.
In 2018, 3 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Bryson who is registered male with the Social Security Administration. It is the 1, 158th most common male first name for living U.S. citizens.
I think this is really wrong because Bryson is very mature he is not immature.
I don't like it. I think this name is going to become trendy soon like most juvenile names do.
Bryson Tiller is an American R&B singer. His song "Don't" peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016, which may be responsible for this name going back into the baby names top 100.
Nice name that works for a little boy as well as a grown man.
This name was given to my son from his father in relation as brians son/ Bryson.
Unfortunately, your son's name means Brice's son, not Brian's son. Probably should've looked that up before you named him.
It's admittedly a cute name, but a little too cute for me. Like Tyson, Ashton, and Braxton, this is a name that would sound adorable for a sweet little boy, but not too nice on an adult. I feel it's better off as a surname.
This is a nice name, definitely better than Brian. It has a strong sound.
The name itself isn't bad, but I hate Bill Bryson with such a burning passion that I couldn't use it myself, and it always reminds me of him. If I ever meet a person who's named their son Bryson after him, I'll punch them.
I like this name. I think it is a very cute name for a little boy.
I love the name Bryson, it sounds strong and handsome.
I like this name because it sounds so professional and sophisticated. I'd use it for my son with a family name, it makes it sound really professional.
This is a really nice name for a boy, handsome, smart, funny. Not overly used either which is nice.
