This name undoubtedly brings to mind images of a dog due to the name's similarity to the word, 'canine' when pronounced with two sylables. However, I can't help but to be drawn to this name, which is slightly odd for me, being that I'm a cat person.
This isn't a name that I would use myself except for the prospect of a fictional character.

I knew a boy with this name and people always insulted him and called him 'canine', 'dog' and 'woof woof' so beware of the teasing potential which can be very annoying for a person to hear all the time.
