I like this pronounced Ka-mee-la! NAF of Ka-mill-a!

I love this name. I don't know why or how it works, but whenever I want to make a food taste better, I just say/think "Camilla" before I eat it, and it makes that food taste SO good! It ALWAYS works, somehow!

Don't like it. Makes me think of camels when I hear it.

I think Camilla is a good name. It sounds like flowers and it reminds me of camellia and chamomile flowers. I like Camille too.

I don't really like this name personally. I don't know why. I just don't like it. I prefer Cameron/Camryn/Kameron/Kamryn or Cami/Kami for a girl.

Personally I like this name a lot. It also has an easy pronunciation for foreign people. Recently it became a common name but when I was born no girls had this name. Usually my nicknames are : Camy, Cam and Milla.
A lot of people like this name and give me compliments for it. I think it's a very elegant name. When I was in primary school some of my classmates called me Camomilla (I really hate this nickname!). When I was a child I was had problems with the pronunciation of the letter R so I was very happy to have a name without it :)

Camilla has a harsh, ugly sound to it. It also sounds snotty to me, like someone who thinks she is better than everyone else. What's weird is, that although I despise the name Camilla, the French version (Camille) is actually very pretty to me. Who would think one vowel could make such a difference?!

It reminds me of a chameleon.

I love the name Camilla. Camille is nice too, but I like Camilla more because it looks more feminine. It's maybe a little frilly, but I don't mind. And as I noticed, the frilliness of the name doesn't mean that Camillas are sort of super-sensitive, queasy or squeamish. In fact, those whom I know, are sensitive and delicate, but also strong and one is even a little tomboyish I'd say. I like its nicknames - Mil(la), Millie, Milly, Cammie. I hate when people pronounce it kah-MI-lah, it definitely shouldn't be pronounced that way plus in my opinion it's just ugly, sorry didn't want to offend anyone, just my own opinion. I love kah-MEE-lah, but my favourite pronunciation is Swedish, with double l. I don't really associate it with the Duchess Of Cornwall, wrl, maybe just a bit, but even if I did, it doesn't bother me and I don't see anything wrong with it. I think it's a really sweet name.

I named my oldest daughter Camilla but I pronounced it CAM-ill-a. I saw the name in a movie and thought it looked very pretty and thought it would be pretty to write. I know, pretty silly. The movie was Downhill Racer and the actress was Camilla Sparv. She was beautiful. The movie was in 1969 and my daughter was born in 1970. My daughter is also beautiful with dark brown hair, blue eyes and Ms. Sparv was a blond.

Very pretty, though I slightly prefer the similar sounding Carmela. It makes me think of a bouquet of flowers, probably due to its similarity to another name Camellia, ha ha.

This name sounds both fancy and relaxed to me. It also has a cute nickname, Milla, which is one of my favourite names (although Cami/Kami is nice too, in an unusual way). As a Finn, however, the letter 'C' looks somewhat odd to me, so I'm torn between the normal Camilla with the weird 'C' and the rare Kamilla which has a safe looking 'K' in it. The camel association doesn't bother me since Camilla primarily reminds me of 'kamomilla'/camomile instead.

Both pronunciations are nice, but the Italian pronunciation (ca-mee-lah) makes the English one sound so bland, at least to me. This seems to happen a lot with English vs Italian/Spanish pronunciations ;)

A bit on the frilly side, but at least it stands out a bit.

While the second association is somewhat endearing... neither are really that great. And those associations aside, I find Camilla as a name to be a rather... boneless? What I mean is, while I find some (feminine) names to be too "macho," Camilla is on the opposite side of that scale. After the first syllable, it sort of... trails off...

I am sorry if I've offended anyone with the name Camilla. If it's any consolation, it's better than the English pronunciation of Camille.

Camilla is a pretty name, but there aren't that many people with it. It's a really long name and it took my sister forever to learn to write her name. We call her Cammie for short sometimes. :]

My name is Cammie, but a lot of people call me Camilla. As a young girl I hated my name and wished I could change it. But now that I am older I think it is a more wise and adult-like name. I think the name is very pretty! You will definitely grow on the name. And in the U.S. I myself have never ever met another Cammie or Camilla so I'm guessing that not that many people have the name. =]

A lovely name. Both my mum and I love this name. I think it's silly that some people don't use it because of the Duchess of Cornwall. She actually a really nice person. Camilla... it sounds so clever, polite and friendly.

Personally, I like Camille better than Camilla, but both are awesome. :)
