Carla is a lovely name and I could see it on a woman or girl of any age.
It's boring but uncommon.
“Carla” comes across to me as the name of someone who’s kind and positive. Don’t listen to the haters— some people’s associations with names may be negative, but people can change that by being nice.
I’m yet another person who loves the name Carla; who couldn’t enjoy this name, since it’s so classy, unique, and stately? I’m surprised that it’s not as common as the name Carly. I have a cousin named Carlie, but I’d still use Carla for a potential child.
I will never understand why people like this name. It sound like a Karen-ish name to me.
It's so cute and pretty. ❤️❤️.
I love the name Carla because it's an anagram of my name, Clara! I don't get all the hatred comments below.
Even worse than Carly.
Very very ugly.
I HATE this! This name is ugly, yet I like Carl!
My grandmother is named Carla Renee! I think Carla is an old-time classic and would be perfect if anyone is looking for something vintage, if you're looking for a vintage yet still today's sorta style, try Karla.
Plain.
My name is Carla and I really like it. I have never had any negative comments about it, only positive. I think it sounds feminine but not too girly and frilly. It is a strong name that I have grown into and I couldn't myself imagine having any other name.
Ooh, I love this name a lot! It just gives me an impression of someone who enjoys life and wishes to bring happiness all around.
Most of us prefer the elegant and timeless Carla over tired/dated Carly.
I prefer Carly. Carla fits an old lady better than a young girl.
Very elegant! I prefer this over Carly, as it sounds more mature.
I love this name! It’s simply beautiful! Elegance is huge here.
I think this name has a beautiful meaning, I have read that it means free woman. Here in Italy this name isn't very common in younger women.
So pretty!
Well whenever I introduce my daughters, one being Carla, we always get such pleasant compliments on what a beautiful name and her twin being Leiah. I am pleased with my choice, as my twins are the only girls in their grade with those names. Let haters be haters, everyone for their own.
Carla is a really cool name. When I was growing up I only knew one Carla, and I remember not liking her name because it started with "car" (kids like / dislike things often for very dumb reasons). But now... it's just cool and confident!
My 9 year old daughter is named Carla Mollie, and we love the name, obviously! Only ever had positive comments about her name, and she is the only one in her school, unlike the many, many Amy's, Ellie's, Rebecca's and the like that fill the class registers!
This name sounds kind of bitchy to me, but I like it. I prefer the K spelling though.
Well I think it's a lovely name... I have had mine a long time.. I'm pleased my mum loved the name.
Cute and sassy.
I really dislike this name. Not to offend any Carlas out there but I think it's really ugly, masculine... totally boring. It's a very common name too, which really turns me off. Unfortunately, I dislike the Karla with a K spelling even more. That makes this name look even worse. Sorry.
I think it's a very pretty name.
When you love the name Clara as much as I do, Carla sounds thick and unrefined.
Carla seems like a lot more mature and grown-up version of Carly, so I prefer it.
I think Carla is someone who would be pretty, feminine, sexy and confident. Maybe a little too confident. LOL.
Hmmm, this name really reminds me of a bogan Australian name. I seriously hold a grudge against this name, or Carlene or Carl anything for that matter.
I know four people named Carla and none of them are "bogans" like one ignorant person above said. I think it's a nice name. Better than Charlie on a girl, that's for sure.
Carla seems like a very classy name to me. I like it better with a C than with a K. Carla looks friendlier than Karla.
Carla is a name well known for her beauty and class. Although usually bossy, can be a very caring person. Desires a hero for their partner.
