Carter may originate in the Hebrew "katar" - meaning, (to) crown. In Judges, Katar was the victory of God’s people against the Benjamites. In Psalms, Katar is the despair of King David. And in Job, Katar will be what Elihu told a blameless and upright man on God’s behalf.
