This name is a 10. Sounds magically exquisite and elaborate. I also fancy CASPER and JASPER, but I like CASPIAN better.

On one hand, it's used by tumblresque Narnia fans so it sucks. On the other hand, seeing all the offended SJW snowflakes whining because the books are apparently sexist or whatever makes me veeeery pleased.

Kind of seems more like a word/title than a name. Caspian reminds me of the character from the chronicles of Narnia. I'm gonna give this a one star out of five stars. I used to like this name, but I realized I only liked the idea of this name.

Caspian is a very noble name for a boy. For a girl I prefer Casey. I mean, Caspian can be a girl's name, anything can, but Casey sounds way more feminine for a girl because I’m Casey, a girl. Sorry I made this comment!

Caspian is a very poetic sounding name. I could imagine a Shakespearean play having a character called Caspian.

I like Caspian better than Cassander or Cassidy for a boy. Same Cass but I prefer the ending on Caspian. I would use Caspian for my own child.

My brother was called Caspian before the movie came out. He loves his name which we shorten to Caspie. Everytime someone hears his name they say, "What a lovely name!"

I love this name and the associations, but it's a bit too out there on a person. I'd prefer it to stay as the name of Prince Caspian.

I am hearing this used as a name for the first time, and I love it! I did not even realize it was the name of a character in the Chronicles of Narnia; I could care less, to be honest. In my mind, the name is separate from the novels.

I don't like this name because it's from those silly Catholic propaganda Narnian books. I agree with the poster that said that they are sexist - I mean, Susan Pevensie goes to hell because she wears lipstick. Plus it seems to be getting trendy in the UK and Australia. Ugh.

A very handsome name with a great association. I would expect a Caspian to be adventurous and princely in both character and manner. The name IS USABLE. Many lovely names have come from literature, and the Chronicles of Narnia is an awesome series.

This "name" is so overrated and ugly, and it's a darling of hipsters and literary snobs (considering it's from those racist, misogynistic Narnia books). Sounds like something some snobby British couple would name their kid.

My son.. is Caspian Oliver Twm Bailey.
His name suits him down to the ground. When I was pregnant and decided on this name.. a lot of people tried to dissuade me.. but I am so glad I decided to stick with it. It's a wonderful name, for a wonderful boy.. I love it, and so does he!

As much as I LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia and the character of Prince Caspian, I am not sure I would use this on a child. It's a fantastic name, but the Narnia association might bring about some teasing.

I knew a kid named Caspian, he hated his name all through high school because of the book Prince Caspian; he caught even more flack as a target for teasing when the movie came out. He was teased so much that he spent two years after high school avoiding everyone, including his friends, and everyone else who thought it was funny to call him “Prince” which was just a mocking term they gave to a nerdy kid with a tough childhood, not as any sort of apt nickname for a jock. It doesn’t help that his mother is nutty and thinks she is the only person creative enough to use the name Caspian.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the name Caspian. I almost like it, but then I don't like it either. I have never had this reaction to a name before. It's always love or hate.

I urge you to keep in mind that I have always been quite a fan of C.S. Lewis' work, but the usage of "Caspian" beyond its paper pages has no right to leap into reality. It is such a closely related name to the Narnian world that I find it unacceptable... unprofessional and pretentious.

I agree that the Narnia character was great, but I still think that Caspian sounds silly as a name for a real person. Maybe as a middle name it might work.

I am a girl named Caspian. To me, the name evokes loneliness and unwilling containment, because the vast waters of the Caspian Sea are completely enclosed by land. Sometimes, people call be Cass, but I do not like the nickname.

I'm currently obsessing over the name Caspian! It's a lovely strong and beautiful name that fits any age. You can easily imagine a little toddler Caspian, a handsome teenager Caspian and a grown man Caspian. It sounds professional, strong, cute and delicate all at the same time! A lovely name.

If it was used by that lunatic C.S. Lewis, I automatically hate it.

That's ridiculous. I didn't like Phillip Pullman's books but I still like the name Lyra (and Pantlaimon).

I have problems with finding names for boys that I like and that can be used in Norwegian that are not too popular. This is a name I really like. I like the sound of it, it's unique and I like the character Prince Caspian and I also like the idea of being named after the sea. If I ever have a baby boy this is definitely a name I'll consider.

I adore this name. I've just "found" it. It's very special, its spelling and pronunciation are more beautiful than the spelling and pronunciation of Caspar/Casper.
