From Sino-Korean 晴 (cheong) meaning "clear", 青 (cheong) meaning "blue, green", or 淸 (cheong) referring to the word for various sweetened foods in the form of syrups, marmalades, and fruit preserves as well as being used as a word for honey, combined with 太 (tae) meaning "big, thick" or 泰 (tae) "great, exalted, superior; big".
