All I think of is donating things when I hear this name.
It reminds me of the word "donate" both because of the spelling and the meaning.
Also Venetian:
Já vi como sobrenome; e apesar de nunca ter visto como nome, eu acho Donato muito bonito.[trans: I have seen it as a surname; and despite never having seen it as a name, I think Donato is very handsome.]
It looks like a Donatello typo.
Why are there several people that dislike this name? I mean I might be biased because it’s my name but it’s a good strong Italian name (as my great grandfather Marigo used to tell me).
I have only ever heard this as a last name.
The word "donate" comes to mind when I read this name.
Donato Bramante (1444-1514) was an Italian architect and painter.
This name reminds me of donuts. :/
Donatello (Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi) (1386 – December 13, 1466) was a famous Florentine artist and sculptor of the early Renaissance. He became well recognized for his creation of the shallow relief style of sculpting, which made the sculpture seem much deeper than it actually was.
I never discovered this name until now. It reminds of the word doughnut.
Where I live, in Ohio (USA), Donato's is a popular pizza chain. Good pizza.
