I love Dot as a nickname, it’s adorable. Makes me think of a “Dippin Dot”. (Singular of Dippin Dots Ice Cream). Better than Dottie I think which means “off her rocker”.

She marries Louis the baker while pregnant with George's child. As far as I know, the actual woman in that painting bore no similarity to the character Dot.
