Slightly associated with Elton John but overall it’s a fine name.

How did the name enter the popularity lists in Sweden? So far as we know, we can all thank the great and talented Elton John and his magic for making the name great there. I hope it gets its deserving chance in being popular worldwide in his honor, especially here in the States.

When I hear this name I think Elton John.

I don't like this name. It reminds me of the arrogant and narcissistic singer Elton John.

Whenever I hear this name, my brain immediately thinks, "JOHN!"

This would actually be a pretty cool name if Elton John hadn't ruined it. The name would automatically make people think of him, and while the guy certainly is a good singer, he strikes me as an annoying male diva.

A really nice name but it will never escape the Elton John association (I do like Elton John, I just mean it's sort of a one-person name almost, there aren't really other celebrities with the name and it's not very commonly applied to other, nonfamous people).

This is a really nice name. My cousin is named Elton, so I don't associate this name with singer Elton John, but with my cousin. It has a really nice ring to it, it sounds really strong.
