Scripts Εὐπείθης(Ancient Greek)

Meaning & History

Derived from the Greek adjective εὐπειθής (eupeithes) meaning "ready to obey, obedient", which consists of Greek εὖ (eu) meaning "good, well" combined with the Greek verb πείθω (peitho) meaning "to persuade, to convince" as well as "to obey, to yield to" and "to believe, to trust (in)".

In Greek mythology, Eupeithes is the father of Antinous, the leader of the suitors of Penelope.
