Fenella Ng Gar-loc (吳家樂) is a Hong Kong swimmer and rower. She competed as a swimmer at the 1984 Summer Olympics and the 1988 Summer Olympics and as a rower at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis was the sister-in-law of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. She was married to John Bowes-Lyon.
This name is cute and unusual. Love it. Nicknames could be Fen, Fenny, Nell, Nella, Nellie.
I say this as Fen-ella which sounds a bit like vanilla.
I always thought Fionnuala was pronounced fin-OO-la, so an anglicization would be more like Finula or Finoola.

I like this name quite a lot really, it's quite unusual and rare and that's part of the reason why I like it so much, but also probably because it reminds me of fennel, which is rather a nice herbal, shrub-like plant that you can also eat. :)
Also, I'd like to add that a famous bearer of this name is British actress Fenella Fielding (b. 17 November 1927). :)
Fenella is, in the book So Long and Thanks for All the Fish (A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book), what Arthur Dent think's Fenchurch's nickname, Fenny, is short for before he meets her. Then he finds out it's short for Fenchurch. Hitchhikers will get it :)
