I'm genuinely sad that most people seem to dislike this name since it currently has a 42%. I think it's a really cute name that I hope people will like more in the future.
I am a Gazsi. My doctor, who is Muslim, says that my name is related to Gazi, "victor or warrior." Hungary was ruled by the Turks for centuries. The name may have been of Muslim derivation therefore. By the way, some of my relatives are darker in skin tone and may reflect their Turkish fore-fathers.
GAJ-ee, not GAHZ-ee. 'Zs' makes the 'J' sound in Hungarian.
And how can it be "cute sounding" to you if you are unaware of the pronunciation?
I imagine it would be pronounced GAH-zhee.
It's a cute sounding name, with definite heritage and history. But how on earth do you pronounce it?!
