Pronounced something like "gi-ZAAm".
Gizem Vural is a Turkish-American illustrator known for her abstract and colorful style.
G- hard, like in "get" and "guest"
E- "eh"That's all I'm sure of.
It's official! I have found my all-time least favorite name. Whether it's pronounced with a hard "g" or a soft "g", there will be low-lifes out there who will inevitably associate this name with a really disgusting US slang word that means "sperm"!
(see: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jizum)
I think this would be an absolutely horrendous name to give to an American child! Worse than Latrina or Dong or Dung (all found on the main BTN database!).
That slang word isn't even common at all (most normal people have never heard it), and besides, why can't you just accept there are more languages in the world than your own? How old are you? This is a lovely name with an unique meaning, and it reminds me of Gizem Vural's vibrant artwork.
