There was a clinic near my town called "Golda's Clinic". It was a small clinic with 7 or so employees. The Clinic Manager's name was Golda and from what I could gather from the few times we'd meet, she was a very strict but also kind person. I don't hate Golda but I don't like Golda either. I think Golda is a 5/10 name.

Golda is one letter from "golfa", which means slut/prostitute in Spanish. Not a reason not to use it but if you intend to learn Spanish then it would probably not be good, or to use it in a area with a high Spanish speaking population.

The meaning is lovely, but I much prefer Aurelie which means the same thing. Golda sounds very harsh.

In Fiddler on the Roof Tevye pronounces it "Gold-eh." It sounds rather clunky and harsh to me.
