Grusha (in the German original: Grusche) is one of the female protagonists in Bertold Brecht's play "The Caucasian Chalk Circle".
In some Slavic languages, Grusha means "pear" (fruit) or "pear tree" - Grusza (Polish), Груша (Russian).
One of the characters form Dostoevsky's novel "The Brothers Karamazov" is Grushenka (Agrafena Alexandrovna). Grushenka is diminutive of Grusha.
