Gwendoline

Gwendoline Ruais (Tagalog pronunciation: [ru'waɪs]) is a Filipino-French actress, model, TV presenter and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World Philippines 2011. She represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2011 pageant in London, England and placed 1st Runner-Up.

Gwen Harwood, AO, (née Gwendoline Nessie Foster; 1920 – 1995) was an Australian poet and librettist. Harwood is regarded as one of Australia's finest poets, publishing over 420 works, including 386 poems and 13 librettos. She won numerous poetry awards and prizes, and one of Australia's most significant poetry prizes, the Gwen Harwood Poetry Prize is named for her. Her work is commonly studied in schools and university courses.

Gwendoline Hedgeflower was a character in the Harry Potter books. She was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1990s and was Sorted into Hufflepuff house.

Gwendoline is an opera in two acts and three scenes by the French composer Emmanuel Chabrier, with a libretto by Catulle Mendès. It was first performed at the Théâtre de la Monnaie, Brussels, Belgium, on 10 April 1886. Further performances followed in Karlsruhe in 1889, Leipzig in 1890 and then in Lyons and Paris in 1893. Gwendoline was Chabrier's attempt to write a serious opera in the style of Richard Wagner.

Gwendoline See-Hian Yeo (Chinese: 杨时贤; pinyin: Yáng Shíxián) is a Singaporean actress, musician and writer best known for her roles as Dr. Kelly Lee on General Hospital, Xiao-Mei on Desperate Housewives and Sun Fu in Broken Trail. She is also known for voicing Domino on Wolverine and the X-Men, Shinigami on Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Lady Shiva on Young Justice.

Gwendoline "Gwen" Thompson, CM, is a Canadian violinist and music educator. She has been a member of two notable chamber music ensembles with whom she has made several commercial recordings: the Masterpiece Trio (1977–1988) and Viveza, the latter of which she formed in 1989 with Lee Duckles (cello), Wilmer Fawcett (double-bass), Mark Koenig (violin), and Linda Lee Thomas (piano). She has also appeared in concert as a soloist with several Canadian orchestras, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony and the British Columbia Chamber Orchestra.
