Hailie is also used as a masculine given name in English. However, it's more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be updated from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine".Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unisex_name

I don't get this spelling.
Considering how common variants of this name are, I think many people have become desensitized to it. Of the spellings, Hailie is my favorite.
I first heard this name because of Eminem. For some strange reason I never came across even one Hailey, Hayley, Haley etc. Up until then (no, not even Hayley Mills. I was only 11 or 12 back then though). I didn't like it initially, but the name started growing on me thanks to the beautiful songs Eminem has written about/for his daughter. When I asked my mother what she thought of this name, she said that it reminded her of Hale Bopp. Which was discovered a few months prior to the birth of Hailie Jade Mathers, so they might have gotten inspired by that. The comet was still invisible to the naked eye when Hailie Jade was born, so IF they got it from Hale Bopp it would be a nice homage. Anyway, I digress. I'm not quite sure what to think of the spelling. Since this is the way I've seen it spelled when I was introduced to the name it's how I automatically spell it. I do like the way it looks, but the "lie" ending might lead to some people saying "Hay-lie" and just seeing how often even people who seem to have unhealthy obsessions with Eminem's child get the spelling wrong (just type Hailey into google picture search, one of the first suggestions you get is "Hailey Mathers"), I don't think that I could ever name my child this.
Eminem's (Marshall Mathers)'s daughter (his only child) was named Hailie Jade Scott, born in December of 1995. He also wrote Hailie's Song, and When I'm Gone for her.
