Meaning & History
Hidan is the name of a member of the antagonist organization Akatsuki from the manga Naruto. Hidan means avenger, probably chosen for the fact that he is immortal due to his odd religion of Jashin. The first rule of Jashin is 'Thou must kill thy neighbor', and before every battle, Hidan prays that he gets nothing less than a kill.
