From old Indus civilization. The meaning of the name is snow stream or frozen plants. Later it has been mentioned in Riga Veda as another name of Goddess of Saraswati who is Goddess of speech. Lexicographers like Hemchandra and Halayudh have also used Vari in their writings in which Vari is another name of Chaaya (छाय), wife of God Sun. The Name also exist in Japanese, but written Himawari with a whole different meaning.
