Hoa is also used as a masculine name in Vietnamese. However, it's more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changed from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine".

Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa is a Vietnamese indoor volleyball. She is a current member of the Vietnam women's national volleyball team.
The real Sino-Vietnamese character is 花 for Hoa. [noted -ed]
Agree with the above user: the character currently referenced is the one for "peace."
This name is one of the most common I hear here in Vietnam. Seems every girl has Hoa somewhere in her name. I have never liked it on it's own, but with other Vietnamese names, like Thuy, it can sound nice.
Hòa means "peace" in Vietnamese. The accent is pronounced lower in tone.
Yikes. Makes me think of the word 'ho'.
