It's pronounced YAH-kov, not YUCK-ov. There's no "u" sound like in English "yuck" in Serbian and Croatian.
This name is also considered Croatian.
Another cool name. I'm proud to be one of the "Jacobs". Jakov is used also in Russia for Patriarch Jacob and for the two James in the New Testament.
