I think Jessalyn is a gorgeous name. I love the length of it and the alluring way it rolls smoothly off the tongue. It's sweet for a little girl and undeniably sexy for a woman. I also really appreciate its Hebrew origin and comforting meaning, which is: “He sees”. To me, that means God is always watching over you and surrounding you with His presence and angels. The nickname potentials are pretty cool (and plentiful), as well, such as Jay, Jess, Jessa, Jessie, Lyn, Lenny, etc.

Interesting name. It does actually look like it can be a variant of Jocelyn, but Jocelyn (and consequently Joss) I've always viewed as a male name. I actually like Jessalyn. Although as far as like-sounding names are concerned, I prefer Jessamine (a variant of Jasmine, and its own plant) to Jessalyn.

Lovely name, quite uncommon. Never met a Jessalyn, I have met a Jesselyn though, and I have heard of someone named Jessilyn. Jessalyn is definitely preferable to Jocelyn.
