Ew! Terrible spelling of Casey! Prefer Kacey over this!
Very similar to Lucie. I don't particularly like the spelling of either but neither are terrible. It's just another -ie name.
Kacie is a cute name :D.
Hi there. My name is Kacie. Kacie Faith in fact. And I'm very surprised that you all feel it necessary to share your hate of... names. It seems a strange thing to be so passionate about. Do you think the Kacies will unname themselves? We won't, because we like our meaningful, cute, creative name. Do you think the parents-to-be will be dissuaded by your personal, vehement, and frankly vitriolic opinions? I highly doubt it. Mine weren't, at least. In other words, I respect all of your opinions, but I don't know why you felt it necessary to share. I like my name and am unbothered by your sneers. Go name your daughters Brittany or Caitlyn if you so please. Au revoir.
I don't even like Casey on a girl, but this spelling is awful.
Way prettier and more feminine that Casey.
Kaci Lynne Bates is the daughter of Zach and Whitney of the TV show “Bringing Up Bates”.
This spelling is a bit better than the Kaycee spelling, but no spelling is better than the original, Casey.
The spelling “Casey” may be too popular, overused, and less girly spelt than “Kacie”, but I still like “Casey” better than “Kacie”. If “Casey” doesn’t register as Kay-see, Kacie doesn’t register as Kaysee either. A great alternative would be Kaycee, but I can’t use it because it looks tacky.
If you name a boy Casey but spell it Kacie, Kasie, Kaci, Kacey, Kasey or K.C. maybe there’s a 30% chance he might get teased or beaten and die in flames. But that’s a 30 out of 100. Besides it’s unisex, there shouldn’t be a gender-specific way to spell it. Though the common way to spell the unisex name for both boys and girls is Casey. But girls get alternative ways to spell it. I understand the letter K is female. And C is male.
Woman get more options for life and freedom and acceptance and men only get limited.
It’s weird for a boy to be into unicorns, but it’s slightly normal for a girl to be into Star Wars.
This spelling honestly doesn't make for a very intuitive pronunciation. I can think of several ways besides KAY-see this spelling could be pronounced by someone who isn't aware it's a kreatyv spylyng, like KAH-kee, KAH-see, and KAH-tsee.
This is my name and I'm surprised by the many negative comments. The name Kacie has a strong meaning and made me stand out amongst the so many girls named "Kate" and "Katie" in my class at school. While I always have had to correct people on the spelling, no one has ever misprounouced my name. And, while I (and many others) consider "Casey" and its many variations of spelling to be more masculine, this spelling is clearly more feminine.
I've warmed up the the name Casey (in its ORIGINAL FORM) for both guys and girls, but this spelling seems really dated.
This spelling is so cutesy. That it actually looks like a nickname, not a name. Besides, Casey is actually one of my favorite *boy's* names, so I would never consider using a variant for a girl's name in the first place.
This is my cousin's name, and she's never had any trouble with it. I think the name is alright.
Believe it or not parents, "Casey" (which was once a male-only name) is not the only name out there; there are thousands of lovely names out in the world and for whatever reasons this illiterate and undignified name appears on every sixth girl in kindergarten.
Kaci (I don't know her last name) plays Martha in the High School Musical movies.
Kaycee (note the spelling difference) Stroh plays Martha in the HMS movies, not Kacie.
There will inevitably be some who will try to say it as "khaki", and that will just lead to "Tacky Khaki". Believe it! Oh, and I think some playground genius will try to associate it with "cacky" which is a proto-slang word in the US meaning "distasteful"! "Tacky cacky khaki Kacie!" argh! Having a "k" and a "c" together like this in a name is way more "risky", in terms of bullying potential, than the "c" and "s" of the original, Casey.
It seems a lot more feminine than Casey.
I don't like the name "Casey" normally, but it's much better spelled that way rather than "Kacie"! "Kacie" just doesn't look right for some reason.
