Khensu is an Egyptian god who was declared to be the son of Amen-Ra and Mut. He was a form of Thoth and was identified by the Thebans with the Moon-god. His name comes from the word khens, meaning "to travel, to move about, to run". His name has been interpreted to mean "traveller" or "pathfinder".
