It is a Hebrew word meaning 'jawbone' - and thus not a very good name.
I personally say 'Luh-HEE' or 'Lay-HEE'.But anyway, I don't think it is a very good name. One, it creates an image of an Israelite man with a dusty turban, long robes and an unkempt beard. You wouldn't envision a cute little Western schoolboy with that name.
Two, it means 'jawbone'. Yup, like that part of the mouth.
Three, it just sounds REALLY out of place in the 21st century.
Lehi is pronounced as [LEE-hye]
My street name when I was growing up was Lehi. Also there is a town in my state with that name as well. Lehi also is a Prophet in The Book of Mormon.
