The very definition of tacky.
Great for a boy. For a girl, I would use Lexis instead.
I thought this was a masculine name at first. It's the name of a car brand...
My name is Lexus but I go by Lexie. Honestly, I hate this name. I like that I was able to have a cute nickname to go by at least. The name does not look aesthetically pleasing to me nor does it look feminine. And the car jokes I’ve gotten my whole life are annoying. Yes, I get it. A car. A transformer. No, I don’t drive a Lexus. And growing up before I stopped going by the name people in school would just call me Alex, Alexis, etc. I even had a teacher read my name off a piece of paper during attendance and pronounce it “Alexis” as if there was an “A” at the beginning. Just an annoying name to have overall.
My name is Lexus... people can name their kids after a car or whatever they want to.
My name is Lexus, and I honestly think that everyone else is making too big a deal out of this. I know there are a lot of terrible and questionable names out there, but I don't think this is one of them. I don't know about the others, but it's never bothered me. No one has ever made fun of me or made a big deal out of it. I'm 21 years old and only two people have ever made comments about it. Both times it was just the person saying they could guess what kind of car I'd get when I was older. To be honest, I'm the only person who really makes jokes about it, and it's mostly just me saying thank you when I hear a commercial talking about how great Lexus is. It's a name, it's not some great burden like some of these comments are making it out to be.
Why name your kid after a car? Lexus is a stupid name for a baby.

My name is Lexes, and while it's not exactly the same, it's pretty much identical and I've never seen or heard of anyone else with this name. I go by Lexxy and Lexx though.Honestly, I don't like the name much. It doesn't look appealing to me, and doesn't sound nice at all. I've gotten several comments on it.All in all, I'd never name my kid either Lexes or Lexus.
Yet another name used by people who have no lives. Aren't they aware that names of cars should stay on cars and not be given to babies?
Lexus was a name far before the invention of the brand car.
I totally agree with the first poster! What's wrong with "Alexis" if you like the ring of this name? You could always use "Lexus" as a nickname, right?
Oh please no. Brand names are for products, not babies.
