Lindsey Lohan ruined this name, Lesley sounds better imo.

One of my favorite elderly names.

Possibly going to be an unpopular opinion, but I much prefer the Lindsay spelling. Lindsay, spelled that way, is in my top ten.

I just find the spelling prettier. The fact that Lindsey makes better sense phonetically doesn’t bother me. One letter can make a real difference.

I don't like it for a child or baby, elderly person. Lindsay is waaaaaay better, which I can imagine on any age.

I had a friend in kindergarten named Lindsay. I never knew how to spell her name; I learned three years later... oops.

My sister's name is Lindsey, and it is a very nice name. It sounds pretty, and the spelling is far superior to "Lindsay," which does not sound or look half as nice. However, my sister dislikes her name greatly, so I guess it is just a matter of opinion.

After I married my husband whose surname is Lindsey, I have been called Lindsey by mistake constantly. My first name is Diane. I think it's because it was and still is such a popular name that it is the only name they hear. I don't mind. Frankly, I love having it as my last name.

I think it's a pretty name that reminds me of linden trees, or just green forests. Something sort of mild and sweet about it. To me it sort of is okay on Lindsey Buckingham because he is so talented and original, but I wouldn't want to see this name for most men.

Lindsey is a beautiful name, but I personally love it more as a girl’s name than a boy’s name. I don’t think Lindsey would suit a male as it sounds so feminine. Not as a proper boy’s name. But as an unusual boy’s name. Lindsey is actually far more unique as a boy's name than Casey as a boy's name. But both names are much better as girl names. Lindsey has always been an unusual name to give to a boy since it’s always been more popular for girls, just like Mason for a girl. Personally, I wouldn’t use Lindsey as a boy's name unless Lindsey doesn’t cause teasing potential. It would make a better girl's name since we know it’s a normal girl's name of 2019.

Lindsey is a (sort of) okay name for a girl, but for a boy it's simply AWFUL. Not masculine at all.

1: I feel like Lindsey is the standard spelling of Lindsay. If Peyton is the original spelling of Payton and Skyler is the original spelling of Skylar, why is it the opposite for Lindsey? In fact I thought Payton AND Skylar were first! I think Lindsey is the standard way to spell Lindsay if all “e” spelled unisex names came first, don’t exclude Lindsey! I think Peyton is the standard spelling of Payton, Skyler the standard spelling of Skylar, AND Lindsey the standard spelling of Lindsay. I hope I made sense:)!
2: This is a beautiful name, I have a few potential friends with this name. I heard this name is unisex, but to me it sounds feminine. It sounds too girly for a boy but not as much like Tiana. I still think it sounds more feminine than masculine, but that’s just me!

I think Lindsey is way too feminine to be used for a boy, but that’s just my opinion! If a boy got the name Lindsey right now, he would feel like he’s in the minority though! I still prefer it on a girl (despite Lindsey Buckingham)! It’s an okayish name for a boy, but I hope he wouldn’t get teased.

This is an awful name for a boy. Sounds too feminine. Nobody names their sons Lindsey anymore. They would be teased. I think it is better for a girl!

This spelling sounds good. It looks right. The thing about this name that ticks me off is when people spell it Lindsay or Lindsee or Lindzee.

I just can't believe this used to be a boys name. That has really put me off this name for some reason. I don't know why I have a problem with it. I seem to accept Ashley but just not Lindsey. Maybe because it is so girly sounding just the thought on a boy totally ruins it.

I prefer this spelling in English and Linzi in Croatian. Lindsay looks like it should be pronounced LINN-say or LIND-say, not LIND-see or LINN-zee. I pronounce Lindsey LINN-zee, LINN-see, LIND-zee or LIND-see.

My name is Lindsey, and I like it pretty much. What bothers me, though, is when people say/call me "Lin-zee." I much prefer it to sound like a soft "ds," like "Lin-dsey," but unfortunately many people don't do this. :(

This is my first name and I love it. It's common, but it's not too common. It's a very pretty name for a girl. I prefer it to be spelled "Lindsey" and not "Lindsay". "Lindsey" is how you say it, not "lind-SAY." "Lyndsey" isn't a bad way to spell it either.

I know I've commented for this name (my name, actually), before, but now I have new insights. As I said before, I like it better with an "e" than an "a" for girls. I think the name is very simple, but not a classic or boring name. It's simple, but pretty at the same time. It's not a super-modern, trendy name, and not too popular, though I do know at least two other Lindseys (or Lindsays). I love its meaning--"linden island." Sometimes I wish I had other names, but I am proud to be named Lindsey! :)

I prefer Lindsey with an E to be on a boy, whereas Lindsay with an A is for a girl. It's a very nice name besides.

Not only is Lindsey a very pretty Scottish name but it is also the name of a Scottish tartan too. I'm not sure how the tartan Lindsey/Lindsay is spelt but I too prefer the name spelt Lindsey. I know someone called Lindsey. There's discussions between my father and I for me to add a Scottish name to the rest of my names that I already have. I have been looking up at a majority of Scottish names, and the name I think I will choose out of them is the name Lindsey.

Lindsey is a nice name, but kind of overused. I can talk about it all I want, as it is my name. It annoys me when people spell it "Lindsay" because it looks like it's pronounced Lin-ZAY. People misspell it a lot. One girl Lyndsey gets it misspelled like everyday.
