Proud bearer here. I love my name.Pros:
It's really beautiful and poetic without being ostentatious or over the top.
A few cute nickname options (Leo, Lio, Li-Li).
Easy to spell which is a plus for small children.
Not overly used or hyper-popular.
Also not extremely bizarre or weird.Cons:
Your child *will* be called Lora, Lira, Lyra, etc...she'll have to spell it over and over for some people.
Particularly malicious children might tease by pronouncing it "Lie - ora", devolving into "liar - rah", etc as kids sometimes do. :P It'll be okay, it doesn't have any perverse or really problematic nicknames.I think this is a lovely name for any girl, particularly if you have Jewish heritage. It's a nice name, happy, pretty, and a little sporty imo.
Gorgeous and unique.
So uncommon and pretty! It ages very well, and is cute, and sweet, but also sounding kinda smart too!
One of my favorites for sure! It ages so nicely among uncommon Hebrew names, along with this, Lior, and Liorit, and so much more!
I think it goes well with so many middle names! Liora Madeleine is just a beautiful combo, and I can think of so much more!
Very beautiful and lovely name.
I wanted to name my daughter this beautiful name but my husband did not like it. I adore it. It is very feminine sounding. A standout name.
I had a music teacher with this name, but she spelled it Liorah. I agree that this name is beautiful, and I plan to use it as the heroine of an upcoming novel.
So beautiful; absolutely feminine, soft, elegant and exotic.Pronounced as lee or uh. Love it! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥☆☆☆☆☆■○□◇●□◆□\●□□~○□■☆●♡♥●■□○▪■☆♡□○■♡♡■○★★★■☆♡♡☆♥♥■●●▪▪●□■○□■■●□◆♥

Liora is my Hebrew name that I picked for myself (my parents stuck me with Yaakov, which means Jacob). I love the meaning of the name for its poetic and positive qualities, and the name itself has a lyrical, unique sound.
Lovely name! Reminds me of a lyre or flower. I like it better than Lior, though both forms are nice.
I love this name and its meaning, simply beautiful. It is probably my first favorite name. I also happened to find out that this is what my aunt told my parents to name me. Bummer! I don't care though, this is what I like to be called. ;-)
