Why did this name have such a high rating? I guess Lorelei is an okay name but Lorelai is such a weird spelling, instead of E but A in my opinion.

Did this name exist prior to Gilmore Girls? As far as kooky names go, this one sounds pretty, but we shouldn't name children after TV characters.
