When I was younger, my nickname became "Madd man" because I am a male Maddison. I stuck with it. My parents met in Madison, Wisconsin so they wanted to name me that but because Madison was predominantly a girl's name at the time, the extra "d" was to masculinize it, I suppose.Best Regards,
A fellow Maddisonian.
This name does not look right. Use Madison instead of Maddison, Madisyn, or Madyson, and don't even get me started on Madysyn.
What's next? Maaddison?
One d is enough. Two d's make it misspelled.
This name looks silly with the double “d”. I like Madison, spelled like that with one “n”. Maddison (this spelling) needs to get off the charts!
I like Madison. But this spelling looks odd to me.
Why is there so much hatred on this name? Yes, it might sound immature to some people's ears, but the fact so many people comment because the name looks "different" and "modern" is rude as well as ridiculous. I also understand how you can use it for either gender but in my opinion, it works better for a girl. I actually love this name; Maddison doesn't sound tacky or anything like that! A name doesn't define a person, so please be more kind!P.s. The spellings Madisyn and Maddyson are awful.
This my name. Hate the spelling of it. Hate that it's not very feminine. Hate how it sounds. This name is a terrible name please don't name your son or daughter this!
Yuck. Stop with the double letters! Madisson is even worse!
Ugh, yuck. I love Madyson, Madisyn, Madison, etc. I hate this so much! Also seems very masculine, as the only Maddison I saw was on TV, and he was a boy! Remove the d please! This extra letter trend needs to stop.
I personally think it's an absolute waste of time to have weird spellings of names when all you could use the same spelling when it's going to sound the same. But I think in this case, Madison with one D should not exist because this is a much prettier looking name.
I already didn't like Madison, but this spelling looks really weird.
Nickname Maddie reminds me of poor Maddie Mcann.
Very chav.
I really like this spelling of Madison. I've met many Madisons, but never have I met a Maddison! My favorite spelling is Madisyn though.
Madison is a nice name. It is probably misunderstood because some people could have said it more pleasant and they're acting like an angry Asian mother. Madison is a good name for a girl but I like it better without 2 Ds.
Maddison with two D's is a GREAT name, it is absolutely beautiful!
One D is enough for me. I don't like long names, especially unnecessarily long names.
I’m unsure whether I like this name or not. You hear it all the time, maybe a bit too often.
Also a masculine name, as in Maddison Hall (http://murderpedia.org/male.H/h/hall-Maddison.htm).
My name is spelt Maddison but everyone calls me Maddi. I used to be Maddy, but a lot of people used that so I wanted to be unique, so I am now Maddi. I have never been Maddie and probably won't because one of my closest friend's name is Madisson and her nickname is Maddie, haha. I've also been called lovey over the years because my last name is lovell and people like to play around with that haha... I was named after "Splash".
I love this name! And I like this spelling more! Also, the nickname "Maddy" is great!
Ugh, it is personally my name, and I hate it. There weren't that many people or girls walking around with my name when I was born, so I guess my mother thought the spelling wouldn't make that much a difference, it being a weird name then. Now it seems every single three year old is walking around with my name, granted without the double D. I don't think it's a very original name. I've always gone by Maddie since I was three. I guess I can see why some people might like it, but I never will.
I think I prefer this spelling to Madison.
What the hell? The name Madison looks even dumber with a double D (no pun intended).
Madison with double D's? Sheesh, I did not think you could make this pretentious excuse for a name any more vile. I was wrong. Unique my butt.
I like this spelling much better than Madison. It's unique. I also like Madisyn. You don't hear them much, and I like that.
I don't like those silly variations of the name Madison, like this one or even worse ones as Madisyn and stuff like that. I think it ruins the name.
