I really like Marcela. I think in terms of spelling, Marcella looks a bit more aesthetically pleasing to me, but Marcela is also very cool. In my native language (Polish) the "c" in Marcela is pronounced as a "ts" sound, and while I like the "s" pronunciation as well, I do prefer the "ts" one. I generally prefer Marcelina over Marcela, but Marcelina has been fairly popular for babies here for a while, whereas Marcela is something you don't see a whole lot, so the latter feels more original. I think Marcela also gives off a more mature vibe. Both Marcela and Marcelina feel like very energetic names, but Marcelina has more of a little mischievous kid energy, whereas Marcela sounds like someone who is very hardworking, purposeful and physically fit. I think it ages better too.
I was given the name Marcela, and I know only one other person with my name. Her name, though, is spelled Marcella, and I have a friend named Marcel. I guess I like it, but I like unusual or Irish names. Many people always tell me I have a beautiful name, and so I suppose a lot of people like it.
