Marcelle was the name given to me by my French Mother. When growing up I wasn't all that happy with it because it was so uncommon. Now I am good with it, because it is not common. I have met only one other Marcelle spelled the same way my whole life. I have never shortened it to anything else.

I guess Marcelle is a rather pretty name, but I do prefer the sound of Marcella.
