My name is Marcello, but throughout my life, I've gone by Marc instead. Should I start to only introduce myself as Marcello instead? Also when I do tell people my real name, 9 out of 10 people will still call me Marc, but I thought if I don't even mention the shortened name, then they'll call me that.
It’s such a cool name, not as cool as Marcelino but still. I'm not a fan of the Italian pronunciation of this name though... "marCHELLO"?I myself would pronounce it as /maɹ.'sɛl.oʊ/ (mahr-SEHL-o) or /'maɹ.səl.oʊ/ (MAHR-səl-o) since the soft 'c' in English us usually an 's' sound.
