This is my name and I am a male and when I was younger I didn't like my name because everyone would make fun of it but it grew on me as I have gotten older. I love it now.

I love this name! It has a regal sound and a strong feel to it. Seems that it would grow with the child. I have read the pronunciation mahr JAH nee and mahr ZHAH nee. I prefer mahr ZHAH nee. Seriously considering this as a name for a future daughter.
